Collaos is a traditional Spanish hard cider apple variety, and a useful choice for European-style cider blends. The small green apples produce a tannic semi-bittersharp juice.
The apples ripen late in the apple season, usually mid-October.

If you do not hear from us by February you can contact us in June to pre-order for the following spring.
Collaos flowers late in the apple bloom season, and is not a good pollinator of other apple varieties.
Although most of Spain has a hot dry Mediterreanean climate, roughly similar to southern California, Collaos comes from the region of Asturias which has a year-round mild wet climate.

Collaos is recognised as a traditional local variety by the Regulatory Council of Origin Cider of Asturias.
