The main issue with Bramtot is a tendency towards biennial bearing. This can be managed by ensuring that you heavily thin the fruitlets in the "on" year.

Bramtot was introduced in 1872 by a Monsieur Legrand, a nurseryman in the town of Yvetot in Normandy, one of the main cider-producing areas of France.
