Malus domestica 'Summer Rambo'
Summer Rambo is a large summer apple, formerly quite widely grown in the eastern states - on account of its vigorous productivity and reasonable resistance to fireblight.
The flavor is more sophisticated than most early summer apples, variously described as honeyed or vinous, and the flesh is notable for its exceptional juiciness.
Like most summer apples Summer Rambo is not a keeper, so it is best eaten or cooked or used for sweet cider immediately.
