Fenouillet Gris an old French apple variety, thought to have been cultivated in the vegetable garden of Louis XIV at Versailles in the 17th century.

It has a rich flavor with a characteristic hint of aniseed, and is a particularly good variety for juicing and for adding to cider blends.
