Jubileum is an interesting early season tart cherry. The large dark-red cherries have a tangy flavor which is nevertheless sweet enough for eating fresh.

Jubileum is a "morello" type tart cherry because the juice is dark red (rather than clear).

How to grow

Jubileum cherries will stay on the tree for about 10 days - ideal for the backyard fruit grower because the fruit can be picked over a period. The cherries ripen about 2 weeks before Montmorency.

Jubileum appears to be partially self-fertile in commercial conditions, and can be considered reliably self-fertile for the backyard grower.
