    Alert me

WhiteGold is one of the first self-fertile "white" cherries available to the home orchardist, and is similar to the popular and highly-regarded Rainier cherry.

It has the pale flesh and balanced flavor which is characteristic of white cherries and makes them more sought after than the red / black cherries.

The cherries are a medium size, and the very pretty - yellow with red blushes.

Being self-fertile it and will set a good crop of cherries even if there are no other cherry trees nearby.

How to grow

WhiteGold has good resistance to bacterial canker, the main disease of sweet cherries. It also has some resistance to cherry leaf spot.

WhiteGold is also a good pollenizer for many other sweet cherries.

Although relatively new, White Gold has established a reputation for being reliable and productive even in less than perfect conditions.

History
